About Wildwater Sauna
Pembrokeshire and its incredible National Park has been our common space since childhood. We feel privileged to have our roots firmly planted here.
We share the same vision of making this mystical coastline more accessible to our community and its visitors. Sustainability, combined with the spirit of adventure, health and wellness are the foundation principles of our vision.
We are both filmmakers who have worked together in the TV & film industry for over 12 years. Together we have travelled the world and collaborated on a range of documentary films.
It was on our travels together whilst filming in the Nordic region of Estonia where we were first introduced to sauna culture. We were both instantly captivated by the whole experience of hot/cold exposure and the huge physical and mental benefits we felt from it afterwards; We observed that it brought people together as the cornerstone of their weekly routines. Once you step into the sauna, you’re immersed in a blissful state of peacefulness and calm, leaving the sauna revitalised and ready to carry on with your day.
Saunas haven’t been hugely accessible in Pembrokeshire and have generally been associated with health spas or sports centres, and so we began our vision of bringing this ancient Nordic tradition to our coastlines.
