Newgale Beach
Newgale is a Blue Flag beach, famous for its two mile stretch of gloriously golden sand. The beach is backed by a large pebble bank which was created by a major storm on 25 October 1859, and which now acts as a sea defence.
We are based in the middle car park. You can park for free at this time of year. There are public toilet facilities at the car park.
Newgale has very hazardous and unpredictable rip currents at this time of year. For safety reasons, entering the ocean to swim will not be permitted and we can only allow splashing in the shallows. We will have two cold plunge (ice) baths available on site as a safe alternative to sea dipping.
